The application provides numerous data sets for all three western provinces, along with details on surface land dispositions. Cartofact is a formidable source of petroleum, geological and environmental information for Western Canada packaged in a powerful GIS platform. It allows for thematic mapping within the web-interface with a cartographically impeccable output – true to its name = “mapping facts”. For those who do not have special & expensive mapping software, they can rely on the correct and elegant output produced by Cartofact. It also allows for extraction of information that can be seamlessly imported into any other mapping program. The database is frequently updated, so currency is not an issue. The interface is intuitive, very easy to learn. Customer service is excellent. Highly recommend!

As a Drilling Engineer, Cartofact is awesome for several aspects of offset analysis, competitor comparisons and even has cool visuals. Seeing nearby reportable events, casing sizes, target formations and licensee's in just a few clicks has definitely saved me time in writing drilling programs.

I often use Cartofact for my work to make proposals, scoping documents, Plot Plans, and to find existing pipeline information/specifications for tie-ins and replacement projects. The user interface and search engine is very user friendly and clearly locates any client asset. I really like the website format because software doesn't need to be installed on my computer. I can login at home, site, or in the office.
